CEFTER PARTICIPATES IN ACE IMPACT VIRTUAL WORKSOP

Centre for Food Technology and Research, Benue State University Makurdi was well represented in the Virtual ACE Impact Workshop hosted by Ghana from 19th to 27th October 2020. The workshop treated major themes of immense relevance to all participating Centres of Excellence across West Africa.

CEFTER leadership had secured approval for some funds from the university management to empower participating staff from CEFTER the motivation to enhance their individual capacities to meet up with the overall expectations of the workshop. Centres of Excellence across west Africa took turns to present updates on activities in their respective centres.

All key centre officials of CEFTER were mandated to attend the workshop. Subjects such as: ACE Impact Progress and Updates, COVID-19 response (ACE Impact RFU (AAU), World Bank, AFD), Institutional resilience in challenging times, re-opening universities: Assessing Institution Readiness for Full and Safe Reopening, Nigeria recommendation and MIT persons were treated exhaustively including other subjects like digital resources to support institutional resilience: COVID-19 Capacity Building Action Plan, Examples of Digital Learning using modules from Covenant University, Nigeria)

The Workshop also featured thorough syndicate sessions for specific categories of workers and each of the sessions addressed specific themes of core relevance to the operationality of ACE projects across west Africa.
